ISLE is thrilled to welcome Emily Drabinski as our keynote speaker. Emily is Associate Professor at the Queens (N.Y.) College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. She publishes and presents widely on critical perspectives in librarianship, particularly the politics of knowledge organization and collective organizing as a path to change. Drabinski served as the 2023-24 President of the American Library Association, visiting libraries in 31 states and seven countries during her term. She is currently at work on a book documenting the power and promise of the library as a public institution.
