The Conference
The International School Librarians in Europe (ISLE) Conference is a conference and workshop designed by and for librarians and teacher-librarians in international schools in Europe. The first conference was in March of 2025, and we hope to make this an annual event!
Inspired in part by the Librarians Knowledge Sharing Workshop in Asia, the mission of the ISLE Conference is to provide a welcoming environment for sharing and learning, where the delegates are also the presenters. Visits to other libraries in the host school’s city are an integral part of the conference, as are social events!
The People
ISLE was founded by Staci Fox, American School in London, and Kim Beeman, International School of Florence. They remain on the ISLE Advisory Committee.
The 2026 Conference Committee includes members of the Advisory Committee and host school librarians Helle Kirstein, Nathalie Morrissey, and Kim Tyo-Dickerson, International School of Amsterdam.
